Any phone camera opens a web page. The person scanning does not need the app or an account.

It arrives in the app, and by SMS if you're not online. Numbers stay hidden on both sides.

Questions
Can anyone see my phone number?
No. Messages go through CarPing. The person scanning sees a message box, not a number — and you don't see theirs either, unless they choose to leave a callback number.
Why two stickers?
People reach your car from both ends. The rear sticker is what someone reads when you've blocked them in; the front one is what a passer-by sees. Both carry the same code, so it makes no difference which one gets scanned.
Does the person scanning need the app?
No. The code opens a normal web page in their browser. Only the car owner needs the app.
When will my sticker arrive?
We ship pre-orders as soon as the app is available. We'll SMS you before the courier comes, and you can cancel any time before then.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay once for the sticker. Messaging stays free. The only optional extra is a yearly fee for SMS alerts if you want messages delivered by SMS as well as in the app.
What if I sell the car?
Unlink the sticker from your account in the app, and peel it off. The new owner can claim it, or you can move it to your next car.
