Delete your account

You can delete your CarPing account and the data stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it — one inside the app, and one that works without installing anything.
1From inside the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open CarPing and go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account and its data are removed straight away.
2Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or you can no longer access your phone number, email delete@thecarping.com from any address and include:
- The mobile number your account is registered to.
- The sticker code on your windshield, if you still have it.
We verify the request before acting on it, so that nobody can delete someone else's account. We complete deletion within 30 days of verifying, and usually much sooner. We will email you when it is done.
3What gets deleted
Everything below is permanently removed and cannot be recovered:
- Your phone number, name and email address.
- Your car details.
- Your emergency contacts and their numbers.
- All messages sent to or from you.
- Any accident reports, including their locations and photos.
- Your device's notification token.
Your sticker is unlinked from your account. The QR code stops resolving to you, so scanning it will no longer reach you. If you want to use the same sticker again later, you can register it to a new account.
4What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information may remain after deletion:
- Records of confirmed abuse, such as false accident reports, kept so that a blocked user cannot simply delete and re-register. Retained for up to 12 months.
- Records we are legally required to keep, for the period the law requires.
- Backup copies, which are overwritten on a rolling cycle and fully cleared within 30 days.
None of this is used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is removed we cannot restore your messages, your car details or your emergency contacts, even if you register again with the same number.

مسح حسابك

تقدر تمسح حسابك في كار بينج والبيانات المخزّنة معاه في أي وقت. فيه طريقتين — واحدة من جوه التطبيق، وواحدة شغالة من غير ما تنزّل أي حاجة.
١من جوه التطبيق
دي أسرع طريقة وبتتنفّذ فوراً.
- افتح كار بينج وروح على الإعدادات.
- اختار مسح الحساب.
- أكّد لما يسألك. حسابك وبياناته بيتمسحوا على طول.
٢من غير التطبيق
لو مبقاش عندك التطبيق، أو مبقاش عندك وصول لرقم تليفونك، ابعت إيميل على delete@thecarping.com من أي عنوان، واكتب فيه:
- رقم الموبايل المسجّل عليه حسابك.
- كود الاستيكر اللي على الزجاج، لو لسه معاك.
إحنا بنتحقق من الطلب قبل ما ننفّذه، عشان محدش يقدر يمسح حساب حد تاني. وبننهي المسح خلال ٣٠ يوم من التحقق، وغالباً أسرع من كده بكتير. وهنبعتلك إيميل لما يخلص.
٣إيه اللي بيتمسح
كل اللي تحت بيتشال نهائي ومش ممكن يترجع:
- رقم تليفونك واسمك وإيميلك.
- بيانات عربيتك.
- جهات الاتصال في الطوارئ وأرقامهم.
- كل الرسايل اللي وصلتلك أو بعتها.
- أي بلاغات حوادث، بما فيها مواقعها وصورها.
- رمز الإشعارات بتاع جهازك.
الاستيكر بيتفك ارتباطه بحسابك. كود الـ QR مبقاش بيوصل ليك، فتصويره مش هيكلمك تاني. ولو حبيت تستخدم نفس الاستيكر بعدين، تقدر تسجّله على حساب جديد.
٤إيه اللي بنحتفظ بيه، وقد إيه
ممكن يفضل جزء صغير من المعلومات بعد المسح:
- سجلات إساءة الاستخدام المؤكدة، زي البلاغات الكاذبة، بتتحفظ عشان اللي اتحظر ميقدرش يمسح ويسجّل تاني ببساطة. بتتحفظ لمدة أقصاها ١٢ شهر.
- السجلات اللي القانون بيلزمنا بحفظها، للمدة اللي القانون بيحددها.
- النسخ الاحتياطية، اللي بتتكتب فوق بعضها بشكل دوري وبتتمسح بالكامل خلال ٣٠ يوم.
ولا واحدة من دول بتستخدم في التواصل معاك ولا في إعادة بناء حسابك.
المسح نهائي. بمجرد ما حسابك يتشال مش هنقدر نرجّع رسايلك ولا بيانات عربيتك ولا جهات الاتصال بتاعتك، حتى لو سجّلت تاني بنفس الرقم.
