Privacy Policy

CarPing lets someone contact a car owner without either person seeing the other's phone number. Protecting that number is the whole point of the product, so this policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

The short version: your phone number is never shown to anyone who scans your sticker. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

1Who we are

CarPing is operated from Egypt and provides a QR-code sticker and mobile application that enable anonymous messaging between drivers. In this policy, "we" and "CarPing" mean the operator of the service, and "you" means the person using it.

2What we collect

If you register a car

Your phone number — used to identify your account and deliver alerts. This is the only thing required to sign in.
Your name and email address, if you choose to provide them.
Car details you enter, such as make, model and colour, so a person contacting you can confirm they have the right car.
Emergency contact numbers you add, including up to two backup contacts.
A device token so we can send you push notifications.
Photos of your car, if you use the photo feature to fill in your car's details. The photo is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which reads the make, model and colour from it and returns them to us. It is not used to train their models and is not kept. There is a daily limit on how many photos each account can send.
Family members you invite — the mobile number you invite, and the name you give them, so alerts can reach the right person.

If you scan a sticker

The message you send. You do not need an account or a phone number to send one.
A callback number, only if you choose to leave one. This is optional. If you provide it, it is shown to the car owner so they can call you back — so only leave it if you are happy for them to have it. If you leave it blank, the owner never sees a number for you.
Basic technical information such as your IP address and approximate time of the scan, kept briefly to prevent abuse.

If you report an accident

Your location at that moment, so your emergency contacts know where to find you.
A photo, if you choose to attach one.

If you turn on automatic parking detection

Your location when you stop driving. With this feature on, the app records where your car came to rest so you can find it later, without having to remember to tap anything.
Physical activity signals from your phone — enough to tell that you were in a vehicle and are now on foot. This is how the app knows a drive has ended. We do not count steps, track exercise, or keep any record of your activity.

This feature is off until you switch it on, and switching it on requires granting location access "all the time". Android asks you for that separately, and you can refuse, or change your mind later, without losing anything else in the app.

We keep only the most recent parking location for each car, and each new one replaces the last. We do not build a journey history, we do not record the routes you drive, and we cannot reconstruct where you have been. Turning the feature off stops the collection, and deleting your account removes the stored location along with everything else.

Outside this feature, location is collected only when you send an accident report.

Camera. The app asks for camera access so you can scan a sticker, photograph your car, or attach a photo to an accident report. Nothing is captured unless you press the button, and we never use the camera in the background.

3Why we collect it

To deliver messages between a person who scans a sticker and the car's owner.
To sign you in, using a one-time code sent by SMS. There are no passwords.
To send accident alerts to the contacts you nominated, and to escalate to your backup contacts if the first person does not open the alert.
To detect and block abuse, including false accident reports and repeat misuse.
To screen messages before they are delivered. Messages are checked against a word list, and where that is not conclusive the text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to judge whether it is abusive. This is what keeps the service usable for someone receiving messages from strangers. Repeatedly sending blocked messages leads to an automatic ban.
To keep the service working and secure.

We rely on your consent, and on the need to perform the service you asked for, as the basis for this processing.

4Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with the following, and with nobody else:

Our SMS provider receives your phone number in order to deliver one-time codes and alert messages.
Push notification services operated by Google and Expo receive a device token in order to deliver notifications.
Our hosting provider stores the data on servers we control.
Your own emergency contacts receive your location, car details and photo when you send an accident report — that is the purpose of the feature.
Our AI provider, Anthropic, receives car photos you submit for recognition, and message text that needs checking for abuse. It does not receive your phone number, your name, or your location.
Google receives a location when you search for nearby services, so it can return results near you.
WhatsApp receives your phone number if you choose to get your one-time code there instead of by SMS.
The courier delivering a sticker order receives your name, number and address.
Authorities, only where we are legally required to disclose information.

5What we never do

We never show your phone number to someone who scans your sticker.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We never show advertising based on your personal data.
We never track your location unless you have switched on automatic parking detection, or you are sending an accident report. We never record the routes you drive.

Messages sent through CarPing are automatically filtered to block phone numbers and other contact details from being passed between strangers. This protects both sides of the conversation.

6How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account is active.
Messages are kept so you can refer back to them, and are removed when you delete your account.
Accident report photos and locations are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
One-time codes expire within minutes and are not retained after use.
Your parking location is overwritten each time it updates. Only the most recent one exists.
Sticker orders are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and returns, then deleted.
Abuse records may be kept longer where needed to stop someone repeatedly misusing the service.

7Nearby services and reviews

When you look for a mechanic, tow truck or car wash, we send your approximate location to Google so it can show results near you. We do not keep a history of these searches.

If you rate or review a service, your rating, your price indication and any comment you write are stored and shown to other CarPing users. Reviews are public inside the app, and your phone number is never attached to one. Do not put personal details in a comment that you would not want other users to read.

8Using our website

If you pre-order stickers. We collect your name, mobile number, governorate and delivery address, along with the technical information described above, so we can deliver your order and contact you about it. We share your name, number and address with the courier who delivers it, and with nobody else. We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting and returns, then delete them. We do not use your order details to market anything to you.

Analytics. Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages they read, which language they choose, and whether an order was completed. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address and usage data. It tells us nothing about who you are. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker, and the site works the same either way.

9Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your account and its contents, or withdraw your consent. Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law you also have the right to complain to the competent authority.

To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

10Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, or request deletion without installing anything from our account deletion page.

11Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your phone rather than a password, so there is no password to be stolen or reused. Access to stored data is restricted to those who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you if a breach affects your information.

12Children

CarPing is intended for licensed drivers and vehicle owners. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

13Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that meaningfully affects you, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

كار بينج بيخلي أي حد يقدر يكلم صاحب العربية من غير ما حد فيهم يشوف رقم التاني. حماية الرقم ده هي أساس المنتج، وعشان كده السياسة دي بتوضح بالظبط إحنا بنجمع إيه، وليه، وإيه اللي عمرنا ما هنعمله بيه.

باختصار: رقمك عمره ما هيتعرض لأي حد يصوّر الاستيكر. إحنا مش بنبيع بياناتك. وتقدر تمسح حسابك وكل اللي فيه في أي وقت.

١مين إحنا

كار بينج بيتم تشغيله من مصر، وبيوفّر استيكر بكود QR وتطبيق موبايل بيسمحوا بالتواصل المجهول بين السائقين. في السياسة دي، "إحنا" و"كار بينج" يقصد بيهم مشغّل الخدمة، و"انت" يقصد بيه الشخص اللي بيستخدمها.

٢إحنا بنجمع إيه

لو سجّلت عربية

رقم تليفونك — بيستخدم لتحديد حسابك وتوصيل التنبيهات. ده الحاجة الوحيدة المطلوبة عشان تدخل.
اسمك وإيميلك، لو اخترت تدخلهم.
بيانات العربية اللي بتدخلها، زي الماركة والموديل واللون، عشان اللي بيكلمك يتأكد إنها العربية الصح.
أرقام جهات الاتصال في الطوارئ اللي بتضيفها، وتشمل لحد جهتين احتياطيتين.
رمز الجهاز عشان نقدر نبعتلك الإشعارات.
صور عربيتك، لو استخدمت خاصية الصورة عشان تملّي بيانات عربيتك. الصورة بتتبعت لمزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي بتاعنا، Anthropic، اللي بيقرأ منها الماركة والموديل واللون ويرجّعهم لنا. مش بتستخدم في تدريب نماذجهم ومش بتتحفظ. وفيه حد أقصى يومي لعدد الصور اللي كل حساب يقدر يبعتها.
أفراد العيلة اللي بتدعوهم — الرقم اللي بتدعوه والاسم اللي بتديهوله، عشان التنبيهات توصل للشخص الصح.

لو صوّرت استيكر

الرسالة اللي بتبعتها. مش محتاج حساب ولا رقم تليفون عشان تبعتها.
رقم للرد عليك، بس لو انت اخترت تسيبه. ده اختياري. لو كتبته، بيتعرض لصاحب العربية عشان يقدر يكلمك — يعني سيبه بس لو مرتاح إنه يشوفه. ولو سيبته فاضي، صاحب العربية عمره ما هيشوف رقم ليك.
معلومات تقنية أساسية زي عنوان الـ IP ووقت المسح تقريباً، بتتحفظ لفترة قصيرة عشان نمنع إساءة الاستخدام.

لو بلّغت عن حادث

مكانك في اللحظة دي، عشان جهات الاتصال بتاعتك تعرف تلاقيك فين.
صورة، لو اخترت ترفقها.

لو شغّلت الرصد التلقائي لمكان الركنة

مكانك لما تبطّل سواقة. لما الخاصية دي تكون شغالة، التطبيق بيسجّل المكان اللي العربية وقفت فيه عشان تلاقيها بعدين، من غير ما تفتكر تدوس على أي حاجة.
إشارات الحركة من موبايلك — بالقدر اللي يخلّي التطبيق يعرف إنك كنت في عربية ودلوقتي ماشي على رجلك. ده اللي بيعرّفه إن الرحلة خلصت. وإحنا مش بنعدّ خطواتك، ولا بنتابع نشاطك الرياضي، ولا بنحتفظ بأي سجل لحركتك.

الخاصية دي مقفولة لحد ما تشغّلها بنفسك، وتشغيلها بيحتاج إذن الموقع "طول الوقت". أندرويد بيسألك عليه لوحده، وتقدر ترفض أو تغيّر رأيك بعدين من غير ما تخسر أي حاجة تانية في التطبيق.

إحنا بنحتفظ بآخر مكان ركنة بس لكل عربية، وكل مكان جديد بيحلّ محل اللي قبله. مش بنبني سجل رحلات، ولا بنسجّل الطرق اللي بتسوق فيها، ومش قادرين نعرف كنت فين قبل كده. وقفل الخاصية بيوقف الجمع، ومسح حسابك بيشيل المكان المخزّن مع كل حاجة تانية.

خارج الخاصية دي، المكان بيتجمع بس لما تبعت بلاغ حادث.

الكاميرا. التطبيق بيطلب إذن الكاميرا عشان تصوّر استيكر، أو تصوّر عربيتك، أو ترفق صورة ببلاغ حادث. مفيش حاجة بتتصوّر إلا لما تدوس بنفسك، وعمرنا ما بنفتح الكاميرا في الخلفية.

٣ليه بنجمعها

عشان نوصّل الرسايل بين اللي بيصوّر الاستيكر وصاحب العربية.
عشان تدخل على حسابك، بكود لمرة واحدة بيوصل برسالة SMS. مفيش باسوردات خالص.
عشان نبعت تنبيهات الحوادث لجهات الاتصال اللي اخترتها، ونبلّغ الجهات الاحتياطية لو الشخص الأول مفتحش التنبيه.
عشان نكتشف ونمنع إساءة الاستخدام، بما فيها البلاغات الكاذبة والتكرار المتعمد.
عشان نفحص الرسايل قبل ما توصل. الرسايل بتتقارن بقايمة كلمات، ولو ده مش كافي بيتبعت نص الرسالة لمزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي بتاعنا، Anthropic، عشان يحكم إذا كانت مسيئة ولا لأ. ده اللي بيخلّي الخدمة قابلة للاستخدام بالنسبة للي بيستقبل رسايل من غُرَبا. وتكرار إرسال رسايل محظورة بيؤدي لحظر تلقائي.
عشان نحافظ على الخدمة شغالة وآمنة.

إحنا بنعتمد على موافقتك، وعلى ضرورة تنفيذ الخدمة اللي طلبتها، كأساس للمعالجة دي.

٤بنشاركها مع مين

بنشارك أقل قدر ضروري مع الجهات دي، ومحدش غيرهم:

مزوّد خدمة الرسايل القصيرة بيستلم رقم تليفونك عشان يوصّل الأكواد والتنبيهات.
خدمات الإشعارات اللي بتشغّلها جوجل و Expo بتستلم رمز الجهاز عشان توصّل الإشعارات.
مزوّد الاستضافة بيخزّن البيانات على سيرفرات إحنا بنتحكم فيها.
جهات الاتصال بتاعتك في الطوارئ بتستلم مكانك وبيانات عربيتك والصورة لما تبعت بلاغ حادث — ودي وظيفة الخاصية نفسها.
مزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي بتاعنا، Anthropic، بيستلم صور العربيات اللي بتبعتها للتعرّف عليها، ونص الرسايل اللي محتاجة فحص. مش بيستلم رقم تليفونك ولا اسمك ولا مكانك.
جوجل بتستلم موقعك لما تدوّر على خدمات قريبة منك، عشان ترجّعلك نتايج قريبة.
واتساب بيستلم رقم تليفونك لو اخترت يوصلك الكود المؤقت عليه بدل الـ SMS.
شركة الشحن اللي بتوصّل طلب الاستيكرات بتستلم اسمك ورقمك وعنوانك.
الجهات الرسمية، بس في الحالات اللي القانون بيلزمنا فيها بالإفصاح.

٥حاجات عمرنا ما هنعملها

عمرنا ما هنعرض رقمك لحد بيصوّر الاستيكر بتاعك.
عمرنا ما هنبيع أو نأجّر أو نتاجر ببياناتك الشخصية.
عمرنا ما هنعرض إعلانات معتمدة على بياناتك الشخصية.
عمرنا ما هنتتبع مكانك إلا لو شغّلت الرصد التلقائي لمكان الركنة، أو وانت بتبعت بلاغ حادث. وعمرنا ما هنسجّل الطرق اللي بتسوق فيها.

الرسايل اللي بتتبعت من خلال كار بينج بتتفلتر أوتوماتيك عشان تمنع تبادل أرقام التليفونات وبيانات التواصل بين الغُرَبا. ده بيحمي الطرفين.

٦بنحتفظ بيها قد إيه

بيانات الحساب بتفضل طول ما حسابك نشط.
الرسايل بتفضل عشان ترجعلها، وبتتمسح لما تمسح حسابك.
صور ومواقع بلاغات الحوادث بتتحفظ ٩٠ يوم وبعدين بتتمسح أوتوماتيك.
الأكواد المؤقتة بتنتهي خلال دقايق ومش بتتحفظ بعد الاستخدام.
مكان الركنة بيتكتب فوق القديم كل مرة بيتحدّث، فمفيش غير آخر مكان بس.
طلبات الاستيكرات بتتحفظ طول ما إحنا محتاجينها للحسابات والمرتجعات، وبعدين بتتمسح.
سجلات إساءة الاستخدام ممكن تتحفظ مدة أطول لو ده ضروري لمنع حد من تكرار الإساءة.

٧الخدمات القريبة والتقييمات

لما تدوّر على ميكانيكي أو ونش أو غسيل عربيات، بنبعت موقعك التقريبي لجوجل عشان تعرضلك نتايج قريبة منك. وإحنا مش بنحتفظ بسجل للبحثات دي.

ولو قيّمت خدمة أو كتبت رأيك فيها، التقييم ومؤشر السعر وأي تعليق بتكتبه بيتخزنوا وبيتعرضوا لباقي مستخدمي كار بينج. التقييمات علنية جوه التطبيق، ورقم تليفونك عمره ما بيترفق بيها. ومتحطّش في التعليق أي بيانات شخصية مش عايز باقي المستخدمين يقروها.

٨استخدام موقعنا

لو حجزت استيكرات. بنجمع اسمك ورقم موبايلك والمحافظة وعنوان التوصيل، مع المعلومات التقنية الموضّحة فوق، عشان نقدر نوصّل طلبك ونكلمك بخصوصه. وبنشارك اسمك ورقمك وعنوانك مع شركة الشحن اللي بتوصّل الطلب، ومحدش غيرهم. وبنحتفظ بسجلات الطلبات طول ما إحنا محتاجينها للحسابات والمرتجعات، وبعدين بنمسحها. وإحنا مش بنستخدم بيانات طلبك عشان نسوّقلك أي حاجة.

التحليلات. موقعنا بيستخدم Google Analytics عشان نفهم الناس بتوصل للموقع إزاي وبتستخدمه إزاي — الصفحات اللي بتتقري، واللغة اللي بتتختار، وإذا كان الطلب اتمّ ولا لأ. ده بيحطّ كوكيز في المتصفح بتاعك وبيبعت لجوجل عنوان الـ IP وبيانات الاستخدام، ومش بيقولنا أي حاجة عن شخصيتك. وتقدر تمنعه من إعدادات الخصوصية في متصفحك أو ببرنامج حجب إعلانات، والموقع هيشتغل بنفس الشكل.

٩حقوقك

تقدر تطلب مننا نعرضلك البيانات اللي عندنا عنك، أو تصحّح أي حاجة غلط، أو تمسح حسابك ومحتواه، أو تسحب موافقتك. وبموجب قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية المصري، ليك كمان حق تقديم شكوى للجهة المختصة.

عشان تمارس أي حق من دول، كلّمنا على العنوان اللي تحت. هنرد خلال ٣٠ يوم.

١٠مسح حسابك

تقدر تمسح حسابك من جوه التطبيق، أو تطلب المسح من غير ما تنزّل أي حاجة من صفحة مسح الحساب.

١١الأمان

كل البيانات اللي بتنتقل بين التطبيق وسيرفراتنا مشفّرة. الدخول بيتم بكود لمرة واحدة بيوصل على موبايلك بدل الباسورد، يعني مفيش باسورد يتسرق أو يتكرر. والوصول للبيانات المخزّنة محصور على اللي محتاجينه لتشغيل الخدمة. مفيش نظام آمن ١٠٠٪، ولو حصل اختراق بيأثر على بياناتك هنبلّغك.

١٢الأطفال

كار بينج مخصص للسائقين المرخّصين وأصحاب المركبات. مش موجّه للأطفال تحت ١٨ سنة، وإحنا مش بنجمع بياناتهم عن قصد. لو تعتقد إن طفل سجّل حساب، كلّمنا وهنمسحه.

١٣تعديلات على السياسة

لو غيّرنا السياسة دي بشكل بيأثر عليك فعلياً، هنبلّغك في التطبيق قبل ما التغيير يسري. التاريخ اللي فوق بيعكس النسخة الحالية دايماً.
